C-Bus repairs Sydney
Lights stuck on, keypads that don't light up, scenes that stopped working after a storm, or a project file nobody can find. We fault find, repair and reprogram Clipsal C-Bus systems, including ones we didn't install.
What we get called out for
- Lights stuck on or off and the keypad does nothing
- Keypads with no backlight or buttons that only work some of the time
- Dimmers buzzing, flickering or glowing when they should be off
- Scenes and schedules gone after a blackout or storm
- A touchscreen or app that no longer talks to the network
- The original installer has gone and nobody has the project file

Most C-Bus faults are programming or network faults, not broken hardware.
Before we replace anything, we find out why it stopped. Is the network voltage low because a power supply has failed? Has a unit lost its settings after a power cut? Is it a dimmer that doesn't suit the LED fitting on it? Swapping parts without that answer is how a fault comes back a month later.
We're licensed electricians and Schneider EcoXpert C-Bus programmers, so the wiring, the units and the programming are all checked by the same person on the same visit.
Fixed properly, first time.
We had issues with our C-Bus home automation system. Thankfully Chris and his team diagnosed the issue and also advised on a future upgrade. Appreciate the professional manner in which the problem was resolved.
Updated my C-Bus, smoke alarm and security alarm systems. Always punctual, efficient, friendly and professional.
Chris and his team at Beachside did a great job on our lighting retrofit, very happy with the result.
Three steps, no surprises.
- Tell us what's happeningCall or send the form with what stopped working and when. Many C-Bus faults can be narrowed down over the phone first.
- Diagnose on siteWe test the network, read back the units with C-Bus Toolkit and find the root cause before recommending anything.
- Repair and hand overWe fix it, test every affected group and save a copy of the programming so you're never stuck without it again. If more work is needed, you get a few options at different price points first.
Common questions
Can you fix a C-Bus system without the original programming file?
In most cases, yes. We scan the network with C-Bus Toolkit to recover what's in each unit, rebuild the project file and hand you a copy. Anything that can't be recovered, such as some logic, we rebuild.
My touchscreen is discontinued. Do I need to replace the whole system?
No. The C-Bus network and units behind the walls usually stay. We replace the touchscreen, add a current controller for app control, or bring the lighting into Savant.
Why do my LED lights glow or flicker when they're off?
Usually the dimmer and the LED driver aren't matched. We check the load, change the dimmer type or settings, or fit a compatible driver.
Why did my scenes stop working after a power outage?
Some units lose settings or a network power supply fails when the power comes back. We find which one, restore the programming and check the network voltage.
Do you work on C-Bus systems you didn't install?
Yes. Much of our C-Bus work is on systems installed by others. We audit what's there, fix what's wrong and document it.
